WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?

Osteopaths focus on the neuro-musculoskeletal system, which comprises of bones, muscles, nerves, and other tissues that support the human body and control its movements. They provide musculoskeletal and nervous system assessments, manual therapy, clinical exercise programs, and movement, postural, positioning advice, and ergonomic assessments. They may also offer therapeutic needling techniques, such as dry needling, trigger point therapy, and acupuncture. Osteopaths may also offer ongoing support and educational advice about lifestyle, stress management, diet, or other factors that may influence a person's pain, injury, or movement.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

A new client assessment will address concerns and determine a treatment plan, followed by initial treatment session

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage is designed for those who undertake in regular training this treatment approach looks to aid their recovery, reduce muscle soreness/fatigue and improve joint range of motion.

JOINT MANIPULATION

Joint manipulation is a manual therapy that involves applying force to your spinal or peripheral joints to help them move better. The goal of joint manipulation therapy is to lessen pain and improve range of motion.

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling is a treatment approach using acupuncture needles inserted into muscles to deactivate trigger points (knots). By releasing these the pain pathway can relax, reduce pain and return to normal function.

Exercise rehab

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

Trigger point therapy is a deep tissue massage technique where the therapist will apply pressure to a knot (trigger point) which assists in releasing this knot to reduce pain and improve the joint mobility.

EXERCISE REHAB

Exercise rehabilitation uses specific movements to improve an injured site in the body.
